I am scared to death, out of breath, I've been running from countless monsters.
In the wake of their return, I dare not burn, a candle for they may wander.
A knock on the door, I hit the floor, It's her, my worst nightmare.
She turns the lock, thus subsiding the knock, it is a woman with shiny gold hair.
She bursts right in, and asks where have I been, I say hiding in the back room.
She laughs at me, points toward the sea, and I know I am at my doom.
My heart races, I run so she chases, me out of the little house,
I find a hole, and there I am small, I hide quiet as a mouse.
In this silence, I’m in fear of this tyrant, my world crashing down.
I wait for my chance, I take one more glance, a panic overcomes me like I've been drowned.
She finds me there, sees me exposed and bare, I lay under her, eyes closed.
Please find mercy, my eyes become blurry, from tears now dripping on my clothes.
I scream out loud, which draws a large crowd, the noise keeps her pain at bay.
She grabs my arm, tells me she means no harm, and slowly drags me away.
My demise is now, I slowly bow, to the one who they call death.
She opens her hands, and deviously demands, a payment: my last breath.
This breath will be my last, I only have a past, my future is no more.
I lift my up head, and a call to the dead, this I cannot ignore.
With a reaper's bow, the end of life in one blow, I hear a knock on the window.
There was no hope, until this little man folk, stopped the swing of this black widow.
She bonded me in chains, gave me addictions for the pain, and walked outside.
This gentle old man, told her he had a plan, for the one she had shackled and meant for demise.
Out comes a wail, who is this male, that can make her cower in fear?
In comes that man, standing tall in his hand, a key and cloth to wipe my tears.
my chains are broken, he hadn't yet spoken, my mind was not yet at ease.
He sat by my side, with a little pride, he smiled as he looked at me.
Finally the man spoke, he took off his majestic cloak, and rest it upon my back.
The viper said "this is absurd", and with only one word, my savior vanquished the woman in black.
"HOPE"
